World Book Day
On the 3rd of March 2022, It was the 25th Anniversary of World Book Day and it was amazing to see so many creative costumes from all the schools in the Trust.
At Shorne, the excitement of reading and literature is prominent, and something that we promote amongst all of our schools to inspire and aid in the English Curriculum. Reading is an art that goes beyond the classroom and World Book Day was the perfect day to allow the children to explore this. A magnitude of activities was put on from, painting/decorating potatoes to turning them into their character of choice, to playing the Masked Reader and so much more. The range of costumes from a wide spread of genres was seen, and real enthusiasm was felt for the fictional characters.
Take a look at our video from all around the Trust to see the creative costumes that were worn.
