Trust Games Football Champions: Shorne Take the Top Spot!
Last Thursday before the end of term, pupils from across our Trust came together for another fantastic Trust Games event, this time taking to the pitch for an exciting football competition.
The day consisted of 14 rounds of matches, with schools competing in a series of fast-paced games that showcased not only footballing ability, but also teamwork, determination and sportsmanship. Throughout the event, pupils represented their schools brilliantly, encouraging one another and giving their all in every match.
A huge thank you goes to Saint George’s staff and secondary students who supported the event and took on the important role of refereeing throughout the day. Their encouragement and leadership helped ensure the competition ran smoothly and created a positive experience for everyone involved.
Following a fantastic afternoon of football, the current standings are:
🥇 Shorne
🥈 Cliffe Woods
🥉 Ditton
4️⃣ Horton Kirby
5️⃣ Halling
While congratulations go to all teams for their efforts so far, the competition is far from over. The final Trust Games event will be Athletics on Tuesday 14th July, and with double points available, there is still everything to play for.
We are looking forward to seeing pupils once again demonstrate the enthusiasm, resilience and teamwork that have made this year’s Trust Games such a success.
Good luck to all schools taking part in the final event!
