Half Term Works on School Site
Major works are being undertaken on the school site during half term and beyond. Firstly we have been awarded a SIF grant through the MAT (Multi Academy Trust). This is for much needed work on our school roof. This work will take up to eight weeks, weather permitting. It should not disrupt the day to day running of the school, but there may be workmen and trucks coming in and out of the school on occasions. A portable cabin will be set up on the playground whilst they are working here – all contractors have had a DBS check.
Sadly we are having the large Tulip Tree by the apparatus cut down. A large branch snapped off during the summer holidays. A tree surgeon visited the school and unfortunately reported back that there is so much rot in the branches he couldn’t guarantee that it wouldn’t happen again. This work will be completed by the time the children come back after half term.
