Success at Gravesend Library Poetry competition

On Thursday 3rd October, Freddie, Gabrielle, Sophie and I went to Gravesend Library supported by Ethan, Emily, Zara and Alice.  We went to collect a prize for a poetry competition, which celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Moon Landing.

Freddie won the prize for best poem in the children’s category and Gabrielle and Sophie were well-deserved runners up. Everyone was congratulated by the Mayor and Mayoress of Gravesham and we even got to have our photo with them! All of Year 5 thoroughly enjoyed writing their poems and some of them are on display, both in the Year 5 classroom and in the Gravesend Library window.  Go have a read if you get the chance!
