Year 5 Visit to the Royal Observatory, Greenwich

Friday 21st September 2018

I am planning to take Year 5 on a trip to the Royal Observatory in Greenwich to support our current topic all about space. During the day we will be watching a planetarium show and visiting the galleries. We will be leaving school by coach at approximately 9:00am and will return before the end of the school day.

The cost for this trip is £20.00 per child. This covers the cost of the coach, entry to the Royal Observatory and the show in the planetarium. This is a voluntary contribution but if insufficient funds are received, then the trip may have to be cancelled. Your child must wear full school uniform but can wear trainers if they would like to. I suggest that they also bring a waterproof jacket in case of rain. Please provide your child with a packed lunch – no fizzy drinks or glass bottles.

Letters with reply slips have been sent to parents/carers – a copy is available on the Year 5 Class page of the web site
